plugging into God

People everywhere say they believe in God and that they know He will supply their needs, but then you see them applying for welfare or borrowing from lenders with interest so high they will never get out from under the debt! It’s time for plugging into God and His ways.

In this article today you will learn how to start “plugging into God” for all your needs and what you need to change to get to that point of trust in Him.

Plugging Into God Means Getting Out of Debt!

Many Christians today live off credit cards and they find it so easy to whip out that card and get what they want instantly! Instant gratification has spoiled us all and it’s time to learn how to be good stewards of the money God has given you.

So why is this happening and what can you do about it for your circumstances? One reason is people trust their jobs or money as their source instead of God.

Understanding the Meaning of “Plugging Into God”

God is the power source

The best way I know how to explain this is by using appliances as an example. If you have a blender or toaster you want to use, it has to be “plugged in”.

The source is the electricity that comes out of the wall socket so without being connected to the source you just have plastic and metal.

You know that the toaster and blender work but without the cord plugged in you still have no toast or milkshake in hand. The toaster and blender can “do nothing” without the source, which is electricity. (energy)

This is what happens to Christians when they “know” God’s word is true, but they aren’t receiving all the benefits of the word. They know God says He wants them to prosper and be in good health, but they are poor and sick.

God has planned out our lives to the very last detail and He has a specific way He wants us to use Him as our one and only source! But there is a catch! It takes faith.

How Do We Get Faith?

The bible tells us that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. You must be in the word to hear it and without that, you will surely be unsuccessful in your Christian walk. This means reading the bible out loud or listening to videos or podcasts.

This does not mean you aren’t saved or that God doesn’t love you. It simply means you are missing out on many of the earthly blessings God has prepared for you.

We can be Christians and still not walk in the fullness of blessings that God has for us. It’s simply because we don’t know what God really wants and you only find that out by spending time with Him.

Scriptures That God Is Our Source

scriptures for God is the source

Here are some Scriptures that tell you without a doubt that God wants to be our only source. Your job or social security is not your source. God is! Most of these are from the New Living Translation.

1Corinthians 8:6

There is one God, the Father, by whom all things were created, and for whom we live. And there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things were created, and through whom we live.”

God created everything and it is for Him we live. His power is an energy that created. That power is our source. Yes…God is our source!

Deuteronomy 28:12

The Lord will send rain at the proper time from his rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will nave need to borrow from them.”

As Christians, we should never have to borrow or “charge” anything that can’t be paid off in three months. If anything we should be lenders. If we are plugging into the source God will send what we need from his “rich treasury” in heaven! He will also bless our work on our jobs and ministries. We just have to trust.

II Corinthians 9:6-8

Remember this – a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure.

For God loves a person who gives cheerfully. And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.

So this is another way of plugging into the spiritual realm is through giving. We are to be cheerful givers and we are to be generous. If we are not generous, then God will not be generous with us.

Givers will receive all they need from God with enough left over to share with others. God always gives you back more than you give out!

Matthew 21:22

“You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.”

The key here is to believe you receive it. Your faith is like the power cord on the toaster and that is your belief revving up its motor.

But if the plug on the end of the cord is not plugged into the source (wall socket) you still won’t get any toast. Once you plug into the source you will receive toast!

The Holy Spirit Helps Us With The Source

In order to believe and receive from our source, we need help. Our help comes from the Holy Spirit. When Jesus ascended into heaven He left us the Holy Spirit.

The spirit of God guides us and helps us to get God’s word rooted and grounded in our spirits. The word must be grounded in us just like a plug must have a ground on it.

Exact Steps for Plugging Into God As Our Source

In order to trust God with everything we have to know Him intimately. Time in prayer and the word are needed to do this. The more you meditate on the word and apply it to your life, the easier it is to receive from God.

Let the Holy Spirit of God give you revelation knowledge when you read the word. Pray for wisdom and God will give it to you. The closer your relationship with the Father is, the more you will be plugged into His will for you.

Don’t Let Satan Cut The Cord

Satan will try and put thoughts into your head that contradict what those scriptures above are saying, but don’t listen. Rebuke him by quoting the word back to him. He doesn’t want you to trust God and be successful!

If you tired of being sick and tired, then get to know the Father and what He wants for you!

These steps may seem too simplified, but God is an easy God to serve. You can’t out give Him, and His word says for us not to worry about tomorrow because He will provide!

Once you learn to cast all your cares upon Him your load is so much easier and stress will literally float away from your body!

Three points to take away from this article are to study the Word, pray often, and be a generous giver. Give God credit for knowing what you need more than you do. It’s an exciting journey when you start plugging into God! God Bless.
